We started this company because we got tired of the candle market being saturated with toxic chemicals. These chemicals damage the lungs and cause other health issues. There are so many diseases nowadays and part of the problem is the toxicity in things we put in and on our bodies. We got tired of the money hungry companies just looking to make a buck and not caring whether they poison us doing it. Well, we care, and this is why we started EcoLuxe Care. If you're going to spend your hard earned money, it should be on products that will not harm you over time. Eco Definition: No harm to the environment. Eco-friendly. Luxe Definition: Luxury Care: Doing what is necessary for the health, welfare, and protection of someone or something. Doing something correctly to avoid damage. These definitions outline our mission. We make products without all the toxic chemicals you find in almost every candle and beauty product on the market. We are different in that we use only the cleanest ingredients we can possibly find. We do months of research and testing and all tests start in our own home and on our own bodies. Then we ask friends and family to test them as well. We are always looking for the next best thing and we will always change our formulas if we find something better. Doing better for ourselves, all of you, and our planet is very important to us. Our candles are hand poured and made from a soy and coconut wax. Be careful when you hear the word blend, that usually means paraffin and another wax. We will never use petroleum or plastic anything, and there will be minimal packaging to reduce waste and our footprint. Our jars are thick glass, rated to withstand the highest temps. The lids are bamboo or tin, so there is no bacterial buildup under the lid, and they are recyclable. We do not use herbs or crystals in the wax because they can clog the wick and cause it to burn hotter and faster. This can cause serious amounts of soot and smoke to be released into the air and cause the flame to get very large. The jar is at risk of cracking as well. Never buy candles with glitter, crystals, herbs or anything else in the wax. It's pretty, but can be dangerous and you are putting yourself and family at risk. We use the cleanest burning cotton wicks available, they are unbleached and not treated or sealed with anything toxic. Most wicks are coated with paraffin or some other toxic chemical, but not ours. Our dyes are non-toxic dyes, and our fragrances are free of the following: Phthalates, Propylene Glycol (DPG) and all Petroleum, Diluents, Carcinogens, Mutagens, Reproductive Toxins, Animal Derivatives, Chloride, Parabens, Toluene, Benzene, Formaldehyde, Ammonium, and all Prop 65 Ingredients. Our luxurious beauty products follow the same rigid tests and quality. We also use a natural preservative instead of the toxic ones most companies use. It's very important not to inhale or absorb into the skin anything that can be a carcinogen or mutagen. This is a breeding ground for disease. Our mission is to keep the risk of disease as low as possible and to eliminate it as much as humanly possible.

Candles 101. What You Need to Know!

Making candles is a science. It's many months of testing and finding the right waxes, the proper temps to add dyes and fragrances, the right jars that can withstand the high temps, and wicks that burn properly and safely with your chosen wax, jars, fragrances, and dyes. You can't just throw these things in a jar and expect a great burning and safe candle. That's irresponsible. This is why we test everything we use for months until we are satisfied that all the elements are working perfectly together. Most fragrances and essential oils are toxic. Don't let anyone fool you into believing they are not. This is why it took us over a year to launch this site. We needed to be happy with the fragrances we use and be sure they would not cause any harm. Please see the "About Us" section to see why our fragrances are better than most. Most dyes are also toxic. When heated they release toxic fumes into the air. Most wicks are toxic as well because they are bleached and treated with chemicals or paraffin wax to help them burn better. You are breathing these chemicals in and so are your family and pets. We choose to do better than this. We will never compromise your health or that of your pets! Paraffin wax is extremely toxic and that's why we use soy and coconut wax together to get a great non-toxic slow burn. Paraffin is a chemical wax substance made of a synthetic petrochemical. Yup, petroleum. This is what you are burning and inhaling when you choose paraffin wax candles. Why are paraffin candles cheaper you ask? Paraffin wax is cheaper because it's synthetic and easy to make. The toxic synthetic dyes and fragrances, and bleached chemical ridden wicks that go into these candles are also easy and very cheap to mass produce. To keep your candles burning well and safely please make sure your wicks are always trimmed to 1/4". For the 1st burn be sure to burn your candle for at least 2 to 2.5 hours, and never burn it for more than 3 hours. The 1st burn should be monitored so that the top is burned evenly before extinguishing. This is to ensure you will have a uniform burn on the top to avoid uneven wax or tunneling. Not burning for more than 3 hours also helps the candle and wick burn better. Never leave candles unattended or where children and pets can get to them. Never put candles in a window or near curtains or any fabric, or near a breeze where the flame can ignite nearby items. Make sure to burn candles on a heat safe surface. Mushrooming can't always be avoided. If this happens on the wick, this is common if candles are burned for a long period of time, always remove it before lighting again or your candle will not burn properly. Our wicks resist mushrooming, but it's not always completely avoidable in any candle. Keep your candles clean, the wick trimmed, and you will enjoy many hours of beautiful and safe illuminations. Everything we ship is fully insured and we usually ship within 3 days of purchase. We live in the boonies so we may need a few days to get to UPS or the USPS. Thanks for your patience. Payments can be made through this site with the default payment option, Lightspeed, or with Stripe, and Square. Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay, offer a payment plan for large orders. Local customers can pick up their piece to save on shipping and pay in cash, or with Venmo, Paypal, Klarna, Stripe, or Square. As a small business that sells health products we don't offer a return policy, especially on beauty products. Beauty products are not returnable due to health reasons, even if they are not opened. However, if an item arrives broken please take a photo and send it to us within 7 days so we can help remedy the situation. After 7 days the sale becomes final no matter the circumstance. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items in transit. All items are insured so we will do our best to help you track it and get it to you.
